Video Game Staffing Placement Services
Get in the Zone: Placement Process for Direct-Hire and Contract Jobs
We’re not just another staffing company. We live and breathe the game profession. Our video game specialization means job seekers don’t waste their time trying to break in to the game space through other staffing companies that lump video game people with other professions. Find out how simple and rewarding it can be to Get Wired.
Placement Process for Direct-Hire Positions
Many video game pros appreciate Wired Talent’s direct line to decision-makers in the industry because they’ve found that we can move the hiring process forward versus if they were to apply on their own. Plus, we know how tight-knit the video game community is, and offer confidential searches and support to help experienced candidates move on from their current role if desired.
After a direct-hire job seeker creates a profile with us to submit a resume and application, our recruiters look for a possible job match. If the candidate is a good match and is interested in the position, we’ll spend extensive time getting to know the candidate professionally and personally. We balance our candidates’ career goals while working to ensure our game companies are getting the talent needed.
Direct-hires likely have two to three rounds of interviews with the hiring company but sometimes more. We serve as a liaison between candidates and clients so we stay up-to-date on feedback from both sides to help negotiate the hire. And, we’re big on open communication throughout the process no matter the outcome, so we give status updates whether it’s good news, bad news or no news at all.
Placement Process for Contract and Contract-to-Hire Jobs
After an applicant creates a profile and submits an application for contract employment, a Wired Talent video game recruiter will decide if the person is a fit for any current openings. Then, we’ll assess skill set, experience, likes, dislikes and more through an initial phone screen. Depending on the contract job opening, the candidate may fill out additional questionnaires so we can get to know them better and undergo skills testing, all of which is done conveniently online.
When we interview candidates for a position, we work to discover what gets the candidate amped about a job and focus on making great matches based on cultural fit with the company and technical criteria for the job. We also offer additional training to our candidates so they are best prepared for a career in the game industry.
And although job seekers should treat the interview with Wired Talent as they would an interview with a hiring company, we have the freedom to be flexible with when and where we meet candidates. Busy? No problem, we'll meet you to chat at a local coffee shop, on-site at a client’s facilities or even at a video game convention, if that’s the most convenient time.
When the moment comes, we submit the candidate’s profile to the client only with express permission from the job seeker. We’re there to guide candidates through every stage with the assets and concepts needed to hook the client, whether it’s creating a demo reel, preparing for an interview or more.
If a candidate receives an offer for a contract gig and accepts the assignment, the candidate is now an employee of Wired Talent for the duration of the project and is eligible for our benefits. Contract-to-hire professionals stay on assignment as an employee of Wired Talent until they are offered regular employment with the video company.
